Yes, only in Bollywood do you have to wait until the very end for a blissful and jovial ending. The whole film may be filled with great pain, anguish and distress but the ending is almost guaranteed to make you smile and walk home feeling, paisa vasool. But, but, but, there are exceptions…Hum Saath Saath Hain was filled with happy moments followed by approximately 30 minutes of sadness and then of course, in true Rajshri style, smiling faces. Sacrifice is an integral emotion in Hindi cinema mostly because it is one that attacks the Indian audience. And when it comes to sacrificial love, then Bollywood knows exactly how it's done. Audiences cried buckets when Salman Khan left Kajol just before the pheras realizing she was in love with Shah Rukh in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Only in Bollywood would such an instance occur.
