Salman Khan doesn’t always come up with shocking surprises! There have been instances when he has been sweeter than sugar itself.

Well, there have been stories of his large-heartedness in the industry but a particular instance of his generosity caught our attention. And guess who was the beneficiary of his good act - none other than Kareena Kapoor, who is his co-star in the upcoming film, ‘Main Aurr Mrs Khanna’.
Sallu and Bebo had a great time shooting for the film in Melbourne. And after pack-up, Kareena would often go shopping. Sources say that once Salman, playing the perfect gentleman, offered to carry her bags. But what was more astonishing than this is – when at a particular store, Bebo went to pay her bills after buying loads and loads of stuff, she was left astounded. Her bills were already settled and the benefactor was Sallu himself.

Among the stuff that Karena had picked up was also a limited edition bag worth Rs 2. 5 lakh! Kareena confirmed the incident to a news daily stating that, “Salman’s generosity cannot be matched. It was a very sweet gesture on his part. He is a wonderful person at heart.”

Katrina was saved from embarassement at award function on Sunday when the dress she wore tore up just minutes before she was to go on stage.

Decked up in her favourite red gown, Katrina Kaif was to receive the ‘Woman of the Year’ award and was waiting backstage for her name to be announced. Just then a friend of her’s stepped on her gown and it tore right up to Katrina’s thighs.

Katrina kaif was shocked and she panicked because the clock was ticking for her to appear on stage. She told her friend to get a needle and thread quick to sew up the torn gown. But the friend was so nervous that she sewed up the gown very badly. Showing her presence of mind, Katrina then called on designer Anaita Shroff to help her. Anahita had done Kat’s styling for the event.

Like a true professional, Anaita sewed the torn part of the gown within minutes.

“Anaita asked me to stay calm and within five minutes stitched it up so finely that I couldn't see the tear,” Katrina is quoted as saying.

The dress was mended just in the nick of time. Katrina’s name was announced just after that and the lady walked on the stage to receive the award.

Karan Johar wants Shah Rukh to romance Katrina!

While many would call their pair a rather unique one when they come together, producer/director Karan Johar is leaving no stone unturned to make SRK-Kat combo a reality.
According to reports, Karan Johar is more than keen to capture Shah Rukh and Katrina’s reel romance and has even hinted signing on the two for his next movie. In an interview given to a news channel, Karan was candid enough to say that Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are the most romantic actors in Bollywood and he didn’t weed out possibility of casting the duo.

If KJo is successful in signing the two on the dotted line, then his home production will become the second movie starring the actors, for they are already said to be working together in a Yash Raj production.

Quite incidentally, Salman, in a recent interview had said that he won`t have any problem if Katrina works with Shah Rukh. Katrina seems to have taken a big cue from her boyfriend for she is missing no opportunity to work with his archrival SRK.

So, is that the end of the Salman-SRK war, guys? It surely looks like that.

As if clashing at the Box Office and social events was not enough - the Khans have now decided to take their brawl to the ramp. Competing to outdo one another, Salman and Shah Rukh are set to lock horns once again in a show of one-upmanship at the Couture Week.

And joining this mega tussle is Bollywood’s fabled actor Aamir Khan, who for once has made his position clear by joining hands with Salman.

Wondering, what’s this hullabaloo is all about? Well, it so happens that ever since Karan Johar announced that his best pal SRK and Gauri will be walking the ramp for him, Salman has been busy adding A-listers to his own list of ramp-scorchers.

And now besides his lady-luck Katrina, fabled actor Aamir Khan too will be seen walking the ramp for Sallu’s charity ‘Being Human’.

To be held from October 11-16, the couture week has sure become the venue to watch out for. Nevertheless, it will be rare treat to watch the three Khans on the ramp. As for Aamir, the actor did have initial inhibitions but later gave in to Salman’s requests.

Looks like the war between SRK and Salman has done great wonders for Aamir. As for whose show will lead only time will tell. Will it be Shah Rukh’s dimpled ways, Salman’s raw appeal or Aamir’s perfectionist self? After all, the wish to lead is only human.

Bipasha Basu had a quite horrendous Durga Puja celebration this time for the actress was groped by a stranger at a Durga Puja pandal.
According to reports, the incident occurred when Bipasha, who is a staunch Bengali, decided to participate in the Durga Puja festivities at The North Bombay Sarvojonin Durga Puja in Santacruz with boyfriend John Abraham.

“Bipasha and John came together for the Durga Puja in the evening and Bipasha was very excited as has always been part of Durga Pujas in Mumbai over the years. Just after the darshan, she was near the stage when some pervert groped her breasts. Bipasha, of course, was taken aback and flew into a fit of rage. People around her tried to calm her down. John too was present there and he whisked her away to calm her down. She even wanted to lodge a police complaint. However, she had second thoughts. As for the sick man, he quietly and promptly ran away, taking advantage of the commotion”, said an eyewitness.

Bipasha had gone to the pandal (being managed by Rani Mukerji) on Rani’s invitation and the last thing she was expecting was to be left feeling sick at such a shameful incident.

Well, all that we can say is the fact that if such a thing can happen to a top-notch actress, then what about a common woman?

Election fever has gripped not only ordinary citizens in poll-bound Maharashtra but also celebrities like cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai who have applied for voter cards online.

Other celebrities who have applied for the voter ID card include Akshay Kumar, wife Twinkle Khanna, actress Sonam Kapoor and father Anil Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Preity Zinta and Kim Sharma.

"Sachin had applied online for the voter ID. As his name was already in the list, the card was prepared immediately," District Deputy Collector and Deputy Election Officer Sanjay Bhagwat told PTI.

Sachin's manager collected the card from the commission office yesterday, he said.

Aishwarya has provided most of the details except her date of birth and soon her card would also be ready, Bhagwat said.

Akshay, whose name was not in the voters' list, applied online.

Love fizzling out between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif?

What are the odds for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif to stay away from each other at a party? Nil, you would think. So did we until we were proven wrong by the couple at Percept Picture Company’s party to celebrate the National Award win for the Priyadarshan-directed movie ‘Kanchivaram’ earlier this week.

At the party held on Tuesday night, Katrina and Salman arrived separately. He was first to reach the party and soon began having good time with Priyadarshan, actor Prakash Raj (who also won the National Award and also played the villain in Salman’s hit Wanted) and the Percept honchos.

Katrina arrived with fashion designer Rocky S and looked yummy in a lemony yellow top.

Of course no one expected Katrina to run into the arms of Salman for a warm embrace, but no one either expected the cold vibes they had for each other at the party. Katrina mainly chatted with friends and colleagues while Salman stuck to his group of buddies.

Salman and Katrina did come face to face a couple of times but did not strike up a conversation.

According to eyewitnesses, the two appeared to be avoiding each other deliberately and even left the party separately, which is shocking because just on Monday Katrina was playing the gracious host at Salman’s Eid party.

So what happened in just a day to turn their garam chemistry frosty? Is love fizzling out? Or is it just a minor tiff which the lovers will get over soon?

Only Sallu and Kat can tell.
