Farah Khans’ new chat show ‘Tere Mere Beach Main’ started the trend of auctioning off personal items donated by Bollywood celebrities. But the frenzy for such goods had started in India back in 2005.As reported by a daily, a towel used by Salman Khan was sold for Rs 100,000 – a star-struck fan bought it.
Recently, a 39-year-old investor bid for Priyanka Chopra’s autographed Gavin Maguel dress auctioned on Farah`s show for Rs 50,000 – as his daughter is a fan of Priyanka. A woman from Kolkata decided to bid for Olympic gold-medalist Vijender Singh`s boxing gloves because she was moved by the story of his mother’s struggle to raise her son to be a champion boxer.
