Rare photographs of movie icon Marilyn Monroe, which were taken almost 60 years ago, were released online to mark her 83rd birth anniversary.
Imdb.com reports that the photos were posted on website life.com. They had been taken by Life magazine's photographer Ed Clark in 1950, three months after Monroe's first on-screen role in "The Asphalt Jungle".
The actress died of acute barbiturate poisoning in 1962.
